The Enneagram is a map of why you do what you do — and a guided path to the version of you that you would most like to be.
The same conflict. The same burnout. The same reaction you wish you had not had. You have read the books, maybe even know your type — and still the loop plays.
Here is why. Research by organisational psychologist Tasha Eurich found that 95 percent of us believe we are self-aware, while only 10 to 15 percent of us actually are.
of us believe we are self-aware
of us actually are
Most of us are running on patterns we cannot see.
It identifies the core motivation running beneath your choices, the fear holding the pattern in place, and the specific direction of growth available to your type. It is the only system that types on motivation rather than behaviour — and the only one that gives you a guided, definitive ladder for growth within your own pattern.
Which is why it does not stop at “this is who you are”.
Unconscious programmes become conscious, and once you can see them, you can choose differently. Reaction becomes response.
You understand what stresses you, what stresses the people you love, and how each of you does conflict. Difficult relationships become bridgeable — starting with the one you have with yourself.
Self-compassion first, then compassion for everyone else, almost without trying. Your values clarify, your needs become sayable, and your life starts to feel authentically aligned.
Tick the ones that speak to you, then send me your list. It becomes the starting map for our first conversation.
Colleen will arrange an online meeting to map your way forward.
Would rather just talk?
Start with your type, or start with a conversation. Either way, this is the beginning of getting out of your own way.
The Enneagram has been developed by psychologists since the 1970s and is used worldwide in coaching, therapy and leadership development. Unlike the quizzes you have seen online, this process pairs a motivation-based assessment with a narrative debrief: your type is confirmed in conversation, never declared by a score. You are always the final authority on who you are.
Knowing your type is information. Working with your type is transformation. Insight on its own does not change the pattern; most of us know things about ourselves that we still cannot act on under pressure. The work is learning to catch the pattern in real time and choose differently — and that is what coaching is for.
Then we will find the right one together, and that conversation is often where the deepest insight happens. The assessment opens the inquiry; the debrief confirms it. No instrument, mine included, outranks your own honest self-observation.
The opposite. Your type is a pattern you run, not a person you are. The Enneagram shows you the full range within you, including how you shift under stress and in growth, precisely so that the pattern loosens its grip.
No. Coaching is forward-facing and practical: understanding your pattern and building the capacity to work with it. Where something needs therapeutic care, I will say so and support you to find it. The two work beautifully alongside each other.
Free tests measure behaviour with a score and leave you to interpret it alone. This process types on motivation, produces a detailed personal report, and includes a debrief with a narrative assessor so the result becomes usable in your actual life: your relationships, your work, your patterns under pressure.
Never. You set the pace and the depth. This work asks for honesty with yourself before honesty with me, and everything you share is confidential.
